IELTS (The International English Language Testing System) assesses the language abilities of people who want to work or take a higher degree in countries where English is the first language of communication.

Components of Cambridge IELTS books.
Each book on this series contains 5 sections:
1. First section.
In the first part of IELTS books 1 – 10, you will find:
- 4 complete IELTS exams for Academic IELTS
- and 2 IELTS tests for IELTS General module.
Cambridge IELTS books number 11 – 12 – 13 have a separate book for each module, and each one contains 4 tests.
Each exam composed of:
2. Second section.
After the part of exams finish, you will find the audio scripts of all Listening sections you heard in audio CD which come along with the PDF books.
You can listen to it again to improve the listening section without need to do an external English conversations.
3. third section.
At the third part, you will find the Listening and reading answer keys so you can make a self review and check your answers to know your weak points.
4. Fourth section.
This is a very important part of this helpful book, which comes under the name “Sample answers for writing tasks”.
As it is clear from the title, it will provide you with sample essays for Writing task 1 and Writing task 2.
You can use it as a source to know the right way of writing the IELTS essays and letters to get a high mark in the Writing section.
5. Fifth section.
In the last section, you will find a sample papers from the answer sheets that you will answer on it in the real test.
You should know how to deal with it to avoid any mistakes at the time of your exam, but don’t worry, the examiners will explain how to deal with it and how to write your answers on it.

In addition to this IELTS book series, Cambridge University published another book called “The Official Cambridge Guide to IELTS” which is considered as the nearest book to the real exam.
